The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man in connection to a homicide investigation in Lithia.
On May 10, 2024, HCSO deputies responded to the 5500 block of Kinglethill Drive in Lithia, where they found Herbert Harris, 58, deceased from multiple gun shot wounds.
Following a thorough investigation, HCSO detectives arrested Christian Freebourn, 28, who was taken into custody on June 21, 2024, without incident.
He was booked and is facing Murder in the Second Degree charges.
"Thanks to the diligent efforts of our detectives, we have successfully arrested the suspect in this tragic case," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "This arrest brings us one step closer to justice for the victim and their family. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time."
The Public Affairs Office will release any further information on this case.
