911 Digital Dispatcher
In November 2021, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received full approval from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC) to become a state-certified training center by holding a type A certification. This allows HCSO to offer advanced and specialized courses, as well as operate its own law enforcement and detention academies at the Sheriff’s Office, one of the few in the nation to do so. Our Training Division also offers an Equivalency of Training course for out-of-state sworn deputies seeking to obtain their Florida law enforcement or detention certification.
