The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is seeking Advance Law Enforcement Accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies , Inc., (CALEA). The accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedure, administration, operations and support services. This process will begin on February 24, 2023 and continue through April 13, 2023. As part of the process, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office would like to invite the community to post a comment about the agency. This opportunity will be available to the public for 60 days.
