Deputies searching for pair suspected of impersonation fraud

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man and a woman suspected of impersonation fraud.

HCSO received an AOA (Assist Other Agency) report from New York State Police. Their complainant was scammed out of thousands of dollars after the two suspects convinced the complainant that their Social Security number had been compromised. The complainant then purchased several gift cards and gave those numbers and PIN to the suspects over the phone.

Those cards were later used at four Walmarts within the jurisdiction of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

If you or anyone else recognizes the two suspects below, you're asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200.

This is an open and active investigation. No further details will be provided at this time.
