The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Lutz man after detectives served a court-authorized search warrant and discovered more than 1,000 files containing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on an electronic device.
The investigation began on July 27, 2026, after the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children received a CyberTipline report identifying the upload of CSAM.
During the investigation, detectives were led to a residence in Lutz and identified the suspect as Charles Price, 61.
On September 14, 2026, detectives with HCSO's Internet Predators Unit and SWAT team served a search warrant at Price's home.
During the search, detectives discovered an electronic device containing more than 1,000 files of CSAM involving juvenile victims between the ages of five and 12. Investigators also identified online activity associated with the device involving the transmission and trading of CSAM.
Price was taken into custody and charged with:
- Solicitation or Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (Ten or More Images and Content of Images) (x1000)
- Unlawful Use of a Two Way Communications Device
- Obstruction of Service or Execution of Search Warrant
“This case is a reminder that predators who seek to exploit children will be arrested,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Our detectives will continue to pursue anyone who victimizes children, and we will do everything in our power to protect the most vulnerable members of our community.”
