The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a fatal shooting in Tampa.
On March 23, 2024, at 8:52 p.m., HCSO's 911 center received a call for service reporting that a shooting had occurred at the intersection of Sugarcreek Dr. and Danny Bryan Blvd.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found two individuals with multiple gunshot wounds. They were transported to the hospital for medical treatment. At the hospital, a male was pronounced deceased; a female is in critical condition.
Detectives are still currently investigating the circumstances that led to this fatal shooting.
At this time, this appears to be an isolated event.
"Our detectives are working diligently to piece together the events that led to this fatal shooting," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "We are urging the public to please contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office if you have any information regarding this case."
