The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspicious death that occurred in Gibsonton.
At approximately 5:11 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, deputies responded to a home on the 10000 block of Ethel Street in reference to a person down call. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased adult male with upper body trauma inside the home. Deputies later determined that the death was a homicide, but at this time, they do not believe it was a random act.
"We are asking anyone with information on this incident to call 813-247-8200 to reach out to a detective with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and share what you may have seen or heard. No tip is too small to report," said Sheriff Chad Chronister.
An investigation is ongoing.
