Two Arrested In String of Armed Robberies

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested two individuals connected to a series of armed robberies across Hillsborough County.

In conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), HCSO assisted in arresting  Andres Correa Jr., 39, and his girlfriend, Cassandra Kerr, 46.

The two were connected to multiple armed business robberies that occurred throughout July and August 2025.

During each robbery, Correa Jr. brandished a firearm, threatened employees and customers, and stole an undisclosed amount of money. Detectives determined that Kerr was directly involved in the robberies, serving as the driver who transported Correa Jr. to and from the scenes.

On August 26, 2025, HCSO and ATF assisted the FBI with serving multiple federal search warrants on residences and vehicles. Numerous pieces of evidence from the robberies were recovered, including a firearm.

Correa Jr. and Kerr were federally charged with three counts of 18 USC § 1951 Hobbs Act Robbery.

“These arrests demonstrate the tireless efforts of our detectives and highlight the critical partnerships we share with the FBI and ATF that make these results possible,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Anyone who believes they can terrorize businesses, threaten innocent people, and escape accountability is mistaken. We will find you, we will arrest you, and you will face justice."

This is an active case. For more information, please contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
