The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a murder-suicide in Valrico.
On September 4, 2025, at 9:22 a.m., deputies received a call from a man stating that "he did something bad and that he was sorry."
Deputies responded to a home in the 1000 block of Crystal Carbon Way, but received no answer at the door. While on scene, the victim's employer contacted dispatch, expressing concern that the victim had not been to work for several days. With this information, deputies entered the residence to conduct a welfare check. Inside, deputies discovered the victim and the suspect, both deceased.
The victim appeared to have suffered blunt force trauma to the upper-body, while the suspect appeared to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A firearm was located next to the suspect.
