SEVERAL PEOPLE SHOT AT BAR PARTY

Detectives are investigating a shooting at a bar where dozens of people were having a party.

On Sunday, July 23, 2023, just after 3 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the Tally Ho Bar Lounge & Grill located at 7402 North 56th Street.

When deputies arrived, they found a large group of people at that location for a party organized by the business. No victims were found at the crime scene, but five people with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds arrived at different local hospitals. Those five victims were tied to the party at the bar.

The Gunfire Response Investigations Team arrived and began to investigate the possibility of more than one shooter.

"It is disheartening to hear that the lives of so many people were jeopardized because a few people think the way to solve their problems is with violence," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "GRIT, which was organized to battle gun violence in our community, will do what they do best. They will find the shooters responsible, and they will be charged for their crimes.”

Detectives are still interviewing witnesses, victims and working with local businesses to gather information.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office encourages anyone with information about this incident to call 813-247-8200. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-TIPS.

The investigation continues, and any new information will come from the Public Affairs Office.
