Riverview High School Teacher Arrested for Sexual Relationship With Student

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Riverview High School teacher accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a student.

On May 16, 2025, detectives launched an investigation after receiving information about an inappropriate relationship between Brooke Anderson, 27, and a male student.

The student disclosed that the relationship began in September 2024, starting with sexually explicit text messages. In the weeks leading up to the arrest, the relationship escalated. The student reported multiple instances of sexual activity. The most recent incident occurred the morning of May 16, inside Anderson’s classroom before the start of the school day.

“This teacher betrayed the trust of a student, a school, and an entire community,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “What should have been a safe, supportive environment for learning was exploited for abuse. Her actions are criminal, calculated, and deeply disturbing.

Anderson is charged with:

Unlawful Sexual Activity with a Minor (x3)
