Arrest Made in Fraud Investigation

A collaborative effort between the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of a suspect involved in an extensive fraud operation.

Through investigative means, detectives discovered Isaac Allen, 58, was in possession of hundreds of stolen personal identification documents, credit cards, and checks.

On January 10, 2025, Allen was arrested on multiple outstanding fraud-related warrants. Allen had also assumed numerous identities in an attempt to evade law enforcement.

“This case is a testament to the power of collaboration and the dedication required to tackle complex investigations,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “The partnership between our Economic Crimes Section and the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office reflects our shared commitment to bringing justice to those who seek to exploit and defraud our communities. We will continue to work together to ensure accountability and safety for the residents we serve.”

“We are proud to have partnered with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office to bring this person to justice and prevent further victimization of our citizens. Criminals should know that they cannot escape justice by running from one jurisdiction to another -- our Economic Crimes Unit will find you," said Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman

This investigation is active, and additional charges are anticipated as the investigation continues.
