The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Brandon man after a child pornography investigation.
Detectives with the Internet Predator Unit received a tip that William Lee Long, 56, was uploading child pornography from his home.
During the investigation, Long admitted to receiving Child Sexual Abuse Material. Detectives found more than 580 of these files on his devices.
Long, who was arrested in December 2023 for shining a laser at an HCSO helicopter that was in flight, was arrested on August 2, 2024, for the crimes above.
"This man should be ashamed of how he has conducted himself," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "His unhealthy and vile obsession is what fuels our detectives to remove criminals of his nature from our community."
