The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is working to locate a man wanted in connection to a October 2019 homicide.

On October 11, 2019, around 6:30 p.m., a homicide occurred at a home on the 12000 block of Tinsley Terrace Drive.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office began investigating after the Tampa Police Department (TPD) notified deputies that an adult male came into St. Joseph’s Main Hospital with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. TPD advised the shooting took place within the Oak Chase Apartments.

The below-pictured suspect, Leardis Hamilton, has been identified and an arrest warrant has been obtained for 3rd Degree Felony Murder. HCSO has reason to believe Hamilton may be in the Fort Meyers area.
Hamilton is considered armed and dangerous.
