HCSO investigating residential distraction burglary

On January 10, 2020, an elderly victim was distracted while two suspects, a man and woman, worked together to steal an undisclosed amount of money from the home.

The victim called the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, and described how the female suspect talked her way into the home, by claiming she knew the victim growing up. Once inside, the female suspect lured him into the kitchen, away from the view of the front door. That's when the second suspect, a male, entered the home. He stole money from the victim's bedroom.

The suspects in this particular case were traveling in a newer, silver Kia Sorento.

Persons of interest in this case have been identified as white female Cherie Samantha Bimbo, 27, and white male Frankie Costa, also 27.

This pair is known to travel throughout Florida, Georgia and Texas. These individuals have also been observed operating a 2015 silver Chevrolet Silverado with a camper topper bearing Florida handicap license plate Z6FQG.

Bimbo does have active warrants out of Orange County and Maryland.

If you know the whereabouts of either Bimbo or Costa, you're asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200.
