A Hillsborough County deputy has been arrested on multiple felony charges stemming from a domestic violence incident.

Brian Juliano, 45, a deputy assigned to the Department of Patrol Services, was arrested by the St. Petersburg Police Department on March 24, 2026.

Juliano is facing multiple charges, including Armed Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Tampering with a Witness.

These charges stem from an incident that occurred at 5:45 a.m. on March 24, 2026, in St. Petersburg. Detectives say Juliano was in a verbal and physical altercation with a woman, during which he threatened her with a firearm, preventing her from leaving the residence or calling 911 for help.

“This arrest is deeply concerning and does not reflect the standards we expect of our deputies,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Any actions that violate the law or the trust of our community will be met with swift and decisive accountability. We will continue to cooperate fully with the investigating agency.”

Juliano has been employed with HCSO since April 2020. He has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the criminal and administrative investigation.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. All questions regarding the investigation should be directed to SPPD.
