The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is pleased to announce that our press releases will now be available in Spanish on our website.
Sheriff Chad Chronister believes building a strong relationship with all residents is essential. Recognizing the growing Hispanic community in our area, HCSO is taking steps to facilitate communication and make information more accessible for our Hispanic community.
"We don't want language barriers to stop people from receiving vital safety information and education, and we continue to find innovative ways to show them we care and they can always count on us," said Sheriff Chad Chronister.
We understand the importance of providing up-to-date and relevant information in the preferred language of our community. Thus, we are pleased to deliver Spanish press releases that address important topics, events, and news related to the safety and well-being of all residents in Hillsborough County.
"We continue to evolve with ways to connect to our growing and vibrant community. By providing this service in Spanish, we hope to build and strengthen our relationship with the Spanish-speaking community," said Sheriff Chad Chronister.

As a reminder, the Spanish-speaking population of Hillsborough County can also file online crime reports with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in their native language.
The online reporting portal allows individuals to submit police reports directly from their cell phones or computers. Additional materials, like documents, pictures, or surveillance videos can also be included, and users can update or access the report on their own time rather than calling for assistance and meeting face-to-face with a deputy.
