The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting in Tampa.
On October 21, 2025, at 9:30 p.m., HCSO's 911 Dispatch Center received a call of a shooting at the 10000 block of Country Hollow Dr. Once on scene, deputies located a deceased male with upper body trauma.
Shortly after, two individuals arrived at local hospitals with gunshot wounds and are now in stable condition. The deceased individual has been identified as Trevaun Johnson, 17.
“There is no situation in which this level of violence is acceptable,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “The safety of this community is our top priority, and we will continue doing everything in our power to protect it.”
At this time, detectives believe this to be an isolated incident, and contact has been made with all parties involved.
The investigation is ongoing, and the Public Affairs Office will release any further update.
