'teamHCSO Cares' will provide emergency items for hurricane victims

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is proud to announce teamHCSO Cares, an outreach initiative aimed at providing essential items for residents impacted by Hurricane Milton.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Harvest Hope Park, located at 13704 North 20th Street in Tampa.

Attendees will have access to free hot meals, clothing, toiletries, and shower stalls to help them recover from the storm's aftermath. As part of HCSO's ongoing commitment to community support, deputies will be present to assist with distributions and connect individuals with additional local resources. We will also have our ice cream truck on site for residents to enjoy.

"In moments of crisis, it's essential that we come together to uplift our neighbors," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "teamHCSO Cares represents our agency's dedication to not only serve and protect but to stand side by side with those in need. We hope this event offers some relief and shows that our community is not alone in this recovery process."
