The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is proud to participate in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
In partnership with the Hillsborough County Anti-Drug Alliance (HCADA) and other local law enforcement agencies, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office will host two drop-off locations. National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to keep prescription drugs out of the wrong hands by allowing people to dispose of them safely and conveniently.
"Take-back events provide families an easy, no-cost way to get rid of unnecessary medications," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Removing unused medications from home is a proactive measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever beginning. I encourage Hillsborough County residents to take advantage of this opportunity to help make our communities safer."
