ORIGINAL RELEASE
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide that took place this afternoon at a Town 'n' Country shopping center.

Just before 5 p.m. on April 23, 2022, the HCSO Communications Bureau received a call about a shooting outside the Panda Kitchen & Bath, located at 8320 W Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa. Upon arrival, deputies discovered an adult male deceased in a car.

Through investigative means, detectives learned that a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee pulled up near the victim's parked car. One subject exits the suspect vehicle, sees the victim sitting in his car, and begins shooting toward the victim. An additional two shooters exit the suspect vehicle and also shoot at the victim. All three shooters then reenter the vehicle. While leaving the parking lot of the shopping center, one of the suspects again shoots toward the victim.

Detectives are looking for three male shooting suspects and the driver of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The suspect vehicle is a gray, newer model Jeep Grand Cherokee with black rims and yellow brake calipers.

At this time, detectives believe this is an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.

The investigation is ongoing. All further updates will be released by the Public Affairs Office.
