Update: October 31, 2026.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is renewing its call for help in solving a deadly shooting that took the life of a 15-year-old girl nearly four years ago.
On November 1, 2022, #teamHCSO deputies responded to the 9000 block of Harney Road after reports of a shooting at a home where a large costume party was underway.
During the party, an argument occurred before gunfire erupted. Two people were struck. A 19-year-old man was injured. A 15-year-old girl died from her injuries.
As the fourth anniversary approaches, detectives believe several people who were there that night have never come forward. What they saw or heard could be the key to identifying the person or persons responsible.
“Four years have passed, but this family’s grief over losing their daughter has not,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “I urge anyone with information to please call our detectives."
Anyone with information, no matter how small, is urged to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at (813) 247-8200.
This remains an active investigation. Any updates will be provided by the Public Affairs Office.
