A second arrest has been made following a homicide that took place on November 25, 2023.
After a thorough investigation, a warrant was issued for Shamek Carter-Bowick, 23, on the following charges:

Premeditated First Degree Murder

Robbery while Wearing a Mask (Firearm or Deadly Weapon)

Armed Burglary of a Structure with Assault or Battery
Through investigative means and assistance from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, Carter-Bowick was taken into custody in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on December 21, 2023, without incident.
"For weeks, our detectives have relentlessly pursued every lead. Through their tireless work, our deputies have once again demonstrated the strength of our commitment to public safety. With the arrest of the second suspect in this homicide case, we can offer this grieving family the closure they deserve," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "We are immensely grateful for the collaboration of the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office. This arrest is just another example of the teamwork, dedication, and unity that lies within the law enforcement community.”

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested one person in connection to a homicide.
On Saturday, November 25, 2023, at approximately 8:30 a.m., HCSO responded to the report of a stabbing in the 9200 Block of Rock Harbour Way in Tampa. When deputies arrived, they discovered a victim with upper body trauma and transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased a short while later.
Ja'Quan Glymp, 34, was arrested for his involvement in this homicide.
Currently, HCSO Detectives are working diligently to identify other potential suspect(s) in this case.
"Our hearts ache for this senseless and tragic loss, but our detective's determination to find answers only grows stronger," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Every piece of information in this investigation brings us one step closer to answers; that's one step closer to providing solace to the shattered hearts of the victim's loved ones."
