HCSO looking for suspect believed to be connected in similar incidents

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man believed to be connected in two separate incidents.

The first occurred on December 4, just before 1:30 a.m. at the Winn Dixie located at 10665 Big Bend Road. A male suspect broke through the glass window and entered the store. He left with an unknown amount of tobacco products.

Then, on December 9 at 10:07 p.m., a man believed to be the same suspect attempted to gain entry into Vibez Vapor, located at 12953 U.S. Highway 301. This time, the suspect was unable to get into the store because the windows were impact resistant.

Detectives are searching for a thin, white male wearing dark colored clothing, white Nike sneakers with a black swoosh, and a gray and black backpack. In both incidents, the suspect was wearing the same style Nike sneakers and a similar backpack. He could also be carrying a hammer or similar tool.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office by calling 813-247-8200 or to be eligible for a cash reward, contact Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
