The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to welcome 32 new deputies to teamHCSO.
“Law enforcement is in the spotlight right now, some people are even questioning our very existence,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “For this reason, we urge our new deputies to uphold the oath they took today and remember to always put others before themselves. They have the platform to make a difference and to prove they are more than just a uniform. Our deputies are our everyday heroes.”
On Friday, June 12, 2020, graduates of class 1905 received their official badges to protect and serve the residents of Hillsborough County. After 32 weeks of extensive training, this graduating class is ready to embark on a journey that requires great courage and commitment to the community.
For the sake of social distancing, HCSO chose to hold the graduation ceremony at the TECO Expo Hall at the Strawberry Festival Fairgrounds in Plant City. Graduating cadets, their limited family members, and HCSO personnel were spaced apart throughout the ceremony. Hand sanitizers and masks were also provided to guests. The ceremony was live-streamed on the HCSO Facebook page: facebook.com/HCSOSheriff/videos/3973828692658574/
