The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 42-year-old Wimauma man after detectives served a court-authorized search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation into child sexual abuse material.
The investigation began on April 16, 2026, after the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children received a CyberTipline report identifying the upload of child sexual abuse material.
As detectives with HCSO’s Internet Predators Unit investigated the report, they traced the uploads to a residence in Wimauma and identified the suspect as Daniel Munive Viruet, 42, who uploaded the CSAM online.
On September 30, 2026, detectives, along with the SWAT team, served a search warrant at Munive Viruet’s home.
During the search, detectives seized multiple electronic devices, including Munive Viruet’s cell phone. Detectives determined Munive Viruet violated his felony probation conditions.
Munive Viruet is currently on felony probation stemming from child sexual abuse material recovered during the execution of a previous Internet Predators Unit search warrant at his residence on September 23, 2025. Following that investigation, Munive Viruet was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Film, Distribute, or Possess Image or Video of Sexual Activity with an Animal.
On September 30, 2026, Munive Viruet was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Probable Cause Violation of Probation Use/Produce - Minor Sex Material. Additional charges are pending.
“This is the second time this individual has been arrested in just one year. His repeated actions demonstrate a disregard for the seriousness of his behavior,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "He is now behind bars, where he belongs."
The investigation is ongoing, and any updates will come from the Public Affairs Office.
