The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation into the death of a reported missing person.
On July 5, 2026, at 6:57 a.m., HCSO received a 911 call from the manager of a McDonald's located at 2205 East Fletcher Avenue regarding an unresponsive person inside a vehicle in the parking lot.
When deputies arrived, they located a black Volkswagen Tiguan parked on the north side of the property with a deceased female occupant identified as Erica Giordano, 36.
Giordano was last seen by her family on July 2, 2026.
A preliminary examination revealed no obvious signs of trauma or injury.
This is an active investigation. Any updates will come from the Public Affairs Office.
