Two Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies sustained serious injuries on Thursday morning while responding to a call for service.
The HCSO Communications Center received a call at 7:44 a.m. from a woman stating that her son was in a mental health crisis at their home in Brandon.
At some point during the response, the two deputies were struck by a vehicle and sustained severe injuries.
Sheriff Chad Chronister is en route to the scene and will provide more details to the media when available.
