The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a registered sexual predator following an investigation into the molestation of a 13-year-old.
On April 14, 2026, HCSO deputies discovered that Keith Leroy Cole, 46, had inappropriate physical contact with the victim while visiting a residence on Easter.
The teen reported the incident to school staff, who immediately notified law enforcement.
Cole was arrested and charged with Lewd or Lascivious Molestation Defendant Over 18, Victim 12-15.
Cole has a prior conviction from March 2019 for sexual battery involving a minor and is currently registered as a sexual predator.
“This predator took advantage of a child’s trust, and that will not be tolerated in our community,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We are committed to protecting victims and ensuring those who prey on minors are held accountable.”
