Troy Morgan, Captain

Captain Troy J Morgan started his career as a Reserve I Deputy in April 1994 and then he was hired full time as a Deputy Sheriff in February 1995. Captain Morgan has worked a variety of assignments to include: District II & District IV Patrol, SWAT, DUI Enforcement, Street Crimes and the Criminal Investigations Division (Robbery, Homicide & Jail Detective).

In 2008, Captain Morgan was promoted and has served in the following areas:  District IV Patrol, District I Traffic Unit, Department of Patrol Services Administrative Corporal, DUI Enforcement, District II Investigations, District V Investigative Lieutenant, District I & District V Patrol, Field Training Coordinator, and the Behavioral Resources Unit.

Captain Morgan obtained his Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Saint Leo and he completed both the Command and Executive Leadership through FBI – LEEDA. Captain Morgan has received the State of Florida MADD Deputy of the Year Award, Distinguished Service award as well as numerous commendations.
