Stacie Molina, Captain

Captain Stacie Molina has served in various positions during her 23 year career with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.  While in her early years assigned to patrol, she specialized in Elderly Affairs Abuse and served as a squad Community Resource Deputy. She progressed to the District IV Street Crimes Unit, where she conducted street level narcotics investigations. She served as a School Resource Deputy assigned to local middle schools, with concurrent temporary assignments as an Economic Crimes Detective. She was promoted to Professional Standards as a Policy and Procedures Detective, and conducted Staff Inspections and Internal Affairs investigations. She then specialized in investigations involving crimes against children within the Criminal Investigations Division, where she earned Master Detective designation.  She was a Field Training Detective, a Field Training Corporal in Patrol District I, and a Field Training Sergeant in Patrol District IV. She faithfully served on the Honor Guard team, and earned the distinction of Team Leader.  After a promotion to Lieutenant, she held assignments within the Child Protective Investigations Division and the Training Division.  In March of 2020, she was promoted to the rank of Captain and served as the Deputy Division Commander of Patrol District V until her transfer to the Forensic and Support Services Division in 2023.

Captain Molina has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from the University of South Florida, and a Master's degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Critical Incident Management from Saint Leo University. She was an adjunct professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Florida, teaching both Juvenile Delinquency and Juvenile Victimization. Captain Molina was awarded the Cynthia Jean and George Nichols III Scholarship to attend the 142nd Administrative Officers Course at the University of Louisville's Southern Police Institute, where she served as the class Historian, and was awarded the William F. Walsh Director's Award for Academic excellence in the graduate program. Her civic associations include board membership with the Carey Family Boys and Girls Club in Brandon and the Mosaic Riverview Community Advisory Panel. Born and raised in the community she proudly serves, she enjoys fishing and boating and watching her daughter play softball.
