Major Rob Rodriguez began his career with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in 1995 as a volunteer Reserve II Deputy. In 1997, Major Rodriguez was hired as a full-time deputy and has served in many areas of the agency, including Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Community Resource, Field Training Supervisor, Operations Corporal for the Department of Patrol Services, Criminal Investigations Division, Child Protective Investigations Division, and as the Commander of District IV.  Major Rodriguez currently serves as the Division Commander of the Child Protective Investigations Division.  Major Rodriguez and his wife have been married for 29 years and they have three sons. 

Major Rodriguez is a graduate of Saint Leo University and possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Critical Incident Management. Major Rodriguez is also a graduate of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Senior Leadership Program (Class #18) and the Southern Police Institute’s Administrative Officers Course (Class #144).
