Court Operations Division

Major Rob Rodriguez began his career with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in 1995 as a volunteer Reserve II Deputy. In 1997, Major Rodriguez was hired as a full-time deputy and has served in many areas of the agency, including Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Community Resource, Field Training Supervisor, Operations Corporal for the Department of Patrol Services, Criminal Investigations Division, and the Child Protective Investigations Division.  Major Rodriguez has served as the Commander of District IV, the Child Protective Investigations Division and currently serves as the Commander of the Court Operations Division. 

Major Rodriguez is a graduate of Saint Leo University and possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Critical Incident Management. Major Rodriguez is also a graduate of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Senior Leadership Program (Class #18) and the Southern Police Institute’s Administrative Officers Course (Class #144).
 
Major Rodriguez and his wife Ariel have been married for over 30 years and they have three sons.
