Captain Dominguez is originally from Tampa and holds a bachelor's degree in Criminology from the University of Tampa.
She began her career with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in 2010 as a Child Protection Investigator. In 2012, she transitioned to law enforcement and was assigned to patrol in District 1. Over the years, she has served on the Street Crimes Squad and worked in both Districts 1 and 5, as well as in the Community Outreach Division.
In 2016, she was honored with the Tampa Bay Area Chiefs of Police Law Enforcement Officer of the Year award.
In 2022, she was promoted to Corporal and assigned to the Court Operations Division at the County Center. She later advanced to the rank of Lieutenant, where she oversaw Misdemeanor Probation and County Center Security.
