The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has identified and located the suspect of a homicide investigation in Tampa.
On Friday, April 25, 2025, at 9:34 p.m., HCSO's Communications Center received a call regarding possible shots fired near the 5300 block of Southwick Drive in Tampa.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found Heidi Berberovic, 58, deceased with upper body trauma inside her residence.
Through investigative means, detectives identified the victim's estranged spouse, Jasmin Berberovic, 55, as a suspect. On April 26, 2025, detectives located Jasmin Berberovic deceased inside a home on the 5600 block of Tranquility Oaks Drive with a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound.
"This is a heartbreaking case of domestic violence that has left a family and community mourning," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Our detectives worked quickly to uncover the truth and locate the suspect. We remain committed to seeking justice for victims and supporting those impacted by these tragic events."

On April 25, 2025, at 9:34 p.m., HCSO's Communications Center received a 911 call reporting shots fired near the 5300 block of Southwick Drive in Tampa.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found an adult female victim with upper body trauma who was deceased inside a residence.
"This is a heartbreaking loss of life that has shaken our community," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Our deputies and detectives are committed to uncovering the truth and holding the individual accountable for this violence."
This is an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the community.
