The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested a suspect for attempted murder.
On June 11, 2022, just after 1:30 a.m., George Rivera, 50, shot two victims in the 7000 block of Stillridge Drive in Tampa. The suspect and the victims are known to each other and were hanging out earlier that evening. Rivera went outside to leave, but returned and shot both victims several times. Both victims sustained extensive gunshot wounds, but are in stable condition.
Through investigative means, detectives located and arrested Rivera. He is facing multiple charges, including Attempted Murder in the First Degree Premeditated, Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony, and Shooting at Within or Into a Building
