Why/How:

Deputies responded to Durant High School at 4748 Cougar Place at approximately 9:30 a.m. this morning in reference to an incident involving two students.
There was a confrontation between two male students (sophomores) which resulted in the victim receiving minor lacerations to his head and forearm from a pair of scissors. The confrontation occurred in one of the classrooms.
The victim was transported to the doctor by his mother.
When deputies searched Torres, they discovered a small knife in his pocket.
