Airplane Crashes In Eastern Hillsborough County

 

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and Hillsborough Fire Rescue are on scene of a plane crash off Tangled Oaks Place in eastern Hillsborough County.

We were notified of the crash around 11:45 a.m. this morning.

 

The two people inside the plane died.

 

Witnesses told deputies they heard the plane's engine sputtering, and the aircraft nosedived into a tree line in the sparsely populated area. The plane came to rest upside down in a pasture.

 

An investigator with the Federal Aviation Administration is enroute from Orlando to conduct the investigation as to the cause of the crash. The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the causes of death.

 

HCSO will release victims' identities at the appropriate time.
