UPDATE: Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 1:06 p.m. The child whose body was found inside a septic tank on Saturday afternoon has been positively identified as Luis Martinez, age 2.
This death investigation by HCSO detectives continues. An autopsy was completed Saturday evening. Cause of death will not be released at this time pending the conclusion of the investigation.

Search Begins For Missing Toddler
Update: Dozens of deputies and scores of volunteers fanned out in the Valrico area around 8:30 a.m. this morning in search of missing toddler Luis Martinez, dob: 02/17/07. Number of law enforcement officers searching: 60
Number of citizen volunteers searching: 150
Teams of volunteers were assigned with a deputy to begin searching various areas in the neighborhood around Silver Lane where Luis went missing on Friday afternoon. HCSO is utilizing dogs, horses, and helicopters in the search for the 2-year-old boy. Agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement are also on scene to conduct interviews and searches.
So far there has been no sign of the child.

Deputies To Resume Search For Missing Toddler
At daybreak today, HCSO will resume the search for missing toddler Luis Martinez. Luis, age 2, was last seen in his neighborhood on Saturday afternoon, and his parents reported him missing around 3:30 p.m. that day. A large scale search began Saturday afternoon but there has been no sign of the boy. Deputies, along with agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, will also resume interviews with area residents for any information on the boy.
Our command post is at Mulrennan Road and State Road 60. We will update the media at various times throughout the day as the search resumes.

CSO deputies, dogs, horses and a helicopter are involved in the search for a missing 2-year-old boy in eastern Hillsborough County.
Luis Martinez was reported missing by his parents around 3:30 p.m. today. Luis was last seen playing at a neighbor's home on Silver Lane, south of State Road 60 and off Mulrennan Road.
Luis was last seen wearing a blue and white striped shirt and red pants.
HCSO has established a command post in the mobile home park where the family lives, and we are utilizing K9 teams, horses, our helicopter and deputies to search the area.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Luis is asked to call 911 or the Sheriff's Office at 247-8200.
