Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office investigated a traffic crash at 21st Avenue S.E. and 6th Street S.E. involving a truck and a school bus which was headed to Beth Shields Middle School. There were 39 children on the bus at the time of the crash.
The school bus was traveling east on 21st avenue S.E. and the Terminix truck was west on 21st Avenue S.E. The driver of the Terminix truck had his left turn signal on to turn left on Yukon Cliff Drive; the bus driver was going to turn left onto 6th Street S.E. As both vehicles were approaching the intersection, the driver of the Terminix truck decided not to turn left and continued west, when the bus driver violated his right of way and turned into the path of the truck driver. Neither driver was injured. The bus driver and ten children were transported to local hospitals as a precaution. All the injuries appear to be minor.
