Why/How:

On Friday, October 23, 2009, a member of Pat Franks Office notified the Sheriff’s Office of an employee that was suspected of possessing illegal narcotics. The employee (Edwin Lopez-Valentin) was heard telling other employees that he was purchasing narcotics from Puerto Rico.
Detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Clerks Office this morning at 6:20 a.m. and came in contact with Lopez-Valentin. Lopez-Valentin was in possession of Alprazolam and did not have a prescription for the drugs. |
