        HCSO Corporal Arrested For Domestic Violence

A Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office corporal was arrested on the evening of Wednesday (October 21, 2009) for misdemeanor battery - domestic violence.

Deputies were called to the victim's residence in northwestern Hillsborough County around 10 p.m. and made contact with the woman. The investigation determined that the woman and Corporal Vivino Millan had been riding together in a vehicle when Millan hit her on the lip with the back of his hand. Millan was the woman's boyfriend.

Millan was not at the woman's residence when deputies arrived, but was contacted on his cellular telephone to ascertain his location. Deputies responded to a parking lot on Sudbury Court in the Westchase area and made contact with Millan, who was located standing beside his HCSO-assigned Chevrolet Impala. Millan was arrested for simple battery and transported to the Orient Road Jail.

Millan is 43 years old, has been employed by HCSO since December 1991, and is assigned to the Recruitment & Screening Section.  Millan has been placed on administrative leave with pay pending an internal investigation.
