The accident happened when a 2005 Hyundai was traveling northbound on 56th Street south of Fletcher Avenue. The pedestrian who had just come out of the 7-11 was crossing from the east to the west side of 56th Street.  The driver of the 2005 Hyundai did not see the pedestrian and struck the pedestrian with the left front portion of the Hyundai resulting in a fatal injury to the pedestrian.

 

The investigation continues.
