On October 9, 2009 Narcotics detectives received information that a package was being sent to Doctor Keith Kent that was suspected to contain marijuana.  Detectives intercepted the package.  Detectives opened the package and it contained approximately 140 grams of marijuana and approximately 100 grams of Hashish.  Detectives met with Keith Kent who advised the marijuana was for him and his wife for medical purposes. Neither Of the Kent’s could provide any proof of medically needing marijuana.  Keith Kent advised that he contacted a business that distributes medical grade marijuana from California.  He purchased the marijuana for $2,000 and had it shipped to his residence.  A search warrant was later executed for the residence located at 12515 Sugar Pine Way.  The search of the residence revealed an additional 80 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Keith Kent was arrested and taken into custody.
