The suspect has been charged in connection to the homicide of Eric Brewer.

On September 13, 2009 at approximately 9:42 a.m. the victim's (boyfriend/girlfriend) were sitting in a Chevrolet Blazer on the property when a 2005 Dodge (1500) pulled up and the suspect exited the vehicle and began shooting into the victim's vehicle.  The suspect fired multiple shots and then entered the passenger side of the Dodge and fled the scene.  The 2005 Dodge belongs to the suspect.  The suspect is the ex-boyfriend of Shirley Sexton.  Both victim were transported to TGH where Brewer died and Sexton is listed as critical.

 

The suspect surrendered himself to his attorney, who then notified the Sheriff's Office.   Privett was taken into custody and charged with the above charges.
