It is unclear how the suspects knew the victim. Sometime between

9-10-09 and 9-11-09 the suspects were inside the victim's apartment when Cox directed Ejak to take a whiskey bottle and strike Johannesen in the head.  Ejak hit the victim with the bottle causing the victim to fall.  The suspects then placed Johannesen on the couch where Ejak placed a plastic bag over the victims head and then placed a belt around his neck.  After the victim was deceased, the suspects placed Johannesens body in a closet.  The suspects then attempted to

conceal the body by placing items over it.  Before leaving the apartment, the suspects stole the victim's cell phone, house keys, and his Adidas sneakers.

The suspects made statements to two witnesses - asking them if they had ever seen a dead body.  The suspects then took the two witnesses to the apartment where they showed the witnesses the closet and the victim.  Late last night, September 12, 2009 the witnesses then told a third party that called authorities.

Detectives picked up the suspects this morning and after interviews were

conducted, both suspects were arrested and charged with First Degree Murder.
