UPDATE: 08-18-09 The victim has been identified as Rickey Renard Bifford, dob: 08-03-82
The victim was shot twice inside his apartment. The suspect Robert Velazuez, had also shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and then killed himself inside the home on Ivey Street.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a homicide at the Lakeshore Club Apartment. Around 7:45 p.m. this evening deputies discovered an adult male deceased inside his apartment at 6803 Cavacade Drive. The homicide may be related to an incident in the city of Tampa earlier Saturday involving the deaths of an adult male and female inside a home on Ivey Street.
