On August 12, 2009 at approximately 11:00 p.m., the suspect was arrested by Tampa Police after a traffic stop. Tampa Police Officer stopped the suspect in the area of Fowler avenue. A K-9 was called to the scene and a search by K-9 “Bob” revealed 2 grams of marijuana in the center console of the vehicle (2005 Chrysler 300). Officers also discovered a glass bong inside the vehicle and 2 lead lined ‘boost” bags containing stolen items from Walgreens located at 1860 E. Fowler Avenue. Officers discovered other stolen items in the trunk of the vehicle that were taken from various stores at the Westfield Brandon Town Center. Some of the stolen items contained 120 anti-shoplifting devices that were still attached to the clothing. Deputies were called to the scene due to Westfield being located in the county. Approximately $6,000 worth of property (clothing and miscellaneous items) was located inside the trunk of the vehicle. The defendant was also found in possession of two automatic center punches, a crowbar, large bolt cutters and five bypass pruners. |
