Two people were sitting in a vehicle parked in a driveway at 9328 Crandon Lane when four armed robbers confronted them around 3 a.m. this morning. The robbers, one with his face covered with a bandana and carrying a sawed-off shotgun, and at least two others with handguns, took a purse from the woman and sped away in a vehicle. The victims recalled seeing a small, blinking red light in the dash area of the getaway car, a black Chevrolet Impala. The vicims attempted to follow the bandits in their vehicle but lost sight of them in the Timberlane subdivision. Deputies were called to meet the victims at Paces Ferry Road and Attenbury Drive.

As deputies were outside of their patrol cars and speaking with the victim, a four-door Impala drove past on Paces Ferry Road. The victims - a man and a woman, both 19 - immediately recognized the vehicle as the suspects' car, particularly taking note of the small, blinking red light on the dash.

Deputies pointed their weapons at the Impala and the driver stopped. The suspects were taken into custody around 3:30 a.m.

The victim's purse was later found in a garbage can at a house, and the property was returned to her.

The four suspects are charged with armed robbery. The investigation continues and additional charges are expected. These suspects will be booked into jail later this morning or early afternoon. Additionally, we do not have specific home addresses for the suspects, so that information will be included with an update on other charges/crimes connected to this foursome.
