Pedestrian Killed In Gibsonton
A traffic crash occurred on Symmes Road east of North Street in Gibsonton on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at 10:21 p.m. The crash involved a 1993 Toyota Corolla operated by Schlomidt Rodriguez, DOB 10-17-87, of 115 N. Hubert Avenue, Tampa, and a pedestrian. The pedestrian crossed Symmes Road into the path of the westbound Toyota. The pedestrian was struck by the front of the Toyota and he expired at the scene as a result of his injuries. No charges at this time as the investigation continues.
The pedestrian was Marias Bautista-Hermelendo, DOB 1/28/74, of 11633 North Street, Gibsonton.
