Deputies were dispatched to a home invasion robbery that occurred at approximately 11:38 p.m.  in the Pinewood Mobile Home Park located at 8802 Sassy Court in Gibsonton.  Three suspects (all wearing mask and armed) forced entry into the residence which was occupied by 3 females.  The suspects stole electronic items such as cell phone, ipod, games and various items of jewelry from the residence and then fled the scene.

A neighbor was able to provide deputies a description of the vehicle (Chevrolet Tahoe) which deputies spotted in the parking lot of the Walmart located at 9205 Gibsonton Drive.  Deputies attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle by activating emergency lights and siren.  The vehicle fled from the parking lot, refusing to stop.  A short pursuit was initiated that ended in the area of Madison Avenue and Palm Avenue where  the suspect lost control and crashed into a ditch on the northeast corner.  The driver, Ricky Murillo fled from the driver’s side of the vehicle.  The suspect refused to stop and K-9 Cowboy was deployed and apprehended the suspect on the back of the leg.  The suspect failed to comply with demands from the deputy when attempting to handcuff him and continued to resist.    Jesse Edge (passenger) fled from the vehicle and was apprehended a short distance away by deputies.  Two other suspects Ashlee Dennison and Chara Lloyd were also arrested.  All of the electronic items and the some of the jewelry was recovered.

Murillo was transported to Brandon Regional Hospital to be medically cleared from the K-9 apprehension.  He has been released from the hospital and booked in the jail.  The other three suspects were all transported to jail.
